Greycliff, named for exactly that–a cliff east of town that's comprised of grey-tinted conglomerate rock–is ten miles east of Big Timber. Once a thriving railroad stop, Greycliff is now a close-knit community with Yellowstone River access for fishing, camping and boating.
Visit the 98-acre Greycliff Prairie Dog Town State Park and watch the entertaining black-tailed prairie dogs sound their famous "chirps." Interpretive displays help to tell the story of these small mammals and their role in the prairie ecosystem. Bring your binoculars.
