We are located on the banks of the Yellowstone River, 10 miles north of Gardiner, Montana--the oldest entrance to Yellowstone Park. We have two lodging options; Yellowstone River Lodge 1 and 2. Yellowstone River Lodge 1 is 4300 square feet, with seven bedrooms, three full bathrooms, a large dining room, full kitchen, large family room with stone fireplace downstairs and a large living room with stone fireplace upstairs. There are two decks, one overlooking the Yellowstone River and beautiful views of the surrounding mountains. We have a very large lawn with shade trees also. It is a good place to relax after a busy day of activities. It is a beautiful and convenient location for visiting Yellowstone Park and the surrounding area. The Park is only 10 minutes away. In addition to seeing Yellowstone, there are many other activities to do and see in the area, such as: horseback riding, hiking, fishing, river rafting, snowmobiling, cross country skiing and hunting. All of these activities are available in the nearby upper Yellowstone Valley. This area is a beautiful place to visit any time of the year. Winters in the Gardiner area are usually pretty mild. The road through the northern part of Yellowstone to Cooke City is open year-round. This most scenic part of the Park offers unlimited wildlife viewing, particularly of elk, bison and the famous Yellowstone wolves. There is snowmobiling and cross-country skiing in the mountains above Gardiner, Cooke City and in the Park. Downhill skiing is also available nearby at Bridger Bowl and Big Sky.
